"not repenting after the trumpets & after the vials"

Why after the sixth trumpet does the LORD point out to us that men didn’t repent, even after all the suffering that came when the trumpets were blown?

Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Will the LORD be looking for repentance in the Tribulation?

What if some people do repent?

The trumpets are blown before the second beast requires people to take the mark, provided that the book of Revelation is chronological.

So what about after people take the mark, when the vials of wrath are poured out - what about repentance then?

Revelation 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Will the LORD be looking for repentance while the vials are being poured out?

What if some people do repent at that time?

Or will their hearts be hardened, like Pharaoh’s, especially those who had taken the mark prior to the vials of wrath?
