Hi:

I think that extra 30 days shows us that the year of the Second Advent is a Leap Year.

Here is the way I see it.

Feast of Trumpets, Tishri 1, 5776, Mon. Sept. 14, 2015, Day of God's Wrath
plus 7 months
Second Advent, Nisan 1, 5776 (leap year), Sat., April 9, 2016

During those 7 months, Israel will be burying bodies to cleanse the land for the return of Christ. The day he will be glorified is the Second Advent.

Eze 39:11-13 says,  "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. 12  And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. 13  Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD."

Mat_16:27 says, "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

Zec 6:12,13 says,  "And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: 13  Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the GLORY, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne".

John,

I was wondering about the difference between the 1260 days and the 1290 days, the extra 30 days.

Will a Jewish leap year occur, during the Tribulations, requiring the insertion of Second Adar?

So that if the abomination of desolation happens on, say, Passover, then the 1290 days would take it to Tabernacles, 3 & a half years later.

Or does the Second Adar (leap month) not even come into the picture?
