"to add to what Barry says"

I see what Barry is saying about the unjust steward. The one difference I still am not sure of is a person losing his salvation once he has believed the Gospel. If a person goes back to the law, I believe that sin would be covered under the blood of Christ.

You see what most "church people" believe today is that a person is saved by faith but then following the law or being obedient will follow. They are in a sense trying to become perfect through the law. This is the same as "trying to help Jesus" and that Jesus death on the cross is not enough.

This question is plainly answered.
Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? NO YOU CANNOT BE MADE PERFECT BY ANYTHING YOU DO

You see they were now trying to be made perfect by the flesh, by obeying the law of Moses.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

The people teaching the Galatians this were "false teachers" and under a curse.Because if they were to be justified by the law then they must keep the entire law.

Thank GOD for sending JESUS to keep the law for us that we who believe are saved. Please don't slap God in the face by thinking Jesus was not enough of a payment for our debt.

Our righteousness comes from JESUS. We cannot do a single thing to make us any more perfect than what Jesus did. We are perfect once we believe. That is right God sees no sin when he sees us, He sees the blood of Jesus covering our sins. Again, this is why our flesh has to be changed at the rapture and we get a new body...

And as we all know Moses did lack faith when he broke the rock but he did not lose his salvation. He lost his right to enter the promise land during his life on earth. He lost his "joy". That happens to a person who always thinks they have to do better once they have believed. They have fallen from grace and now have lost any joy of knowing they are saved. They will still be saved IF they believed the gospel of grace but obviously they can never be happy if they are always wondering if they will make it to heaven. Make sure you have truly believed in Jesus and him alone.

thanks
