"re Question from Phil in Western Australia"

Readers -

Phil (from Western Australia) had a question about my post here:

http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/june2012/clay64-3.htm

He writes:

"But just how did you arrive at the spreadsheet for the days in the whole year? How does that rectangle with 254 appear in the centre?

Also, you would know that Bin Laden ( the man immediately blamed for 911) was in house (compound??) number 254 when they caught and killed him.

Also, Barack Hussein Obama = 254 on the KWERTY keyboard values too."

*******

Attached to this email is a screenshot of a day number Spreadsheet I created, after I learned about such a thing form Bob Ware years ago, which he had created. This one is for a non leap year, as 2001 was.

You can see the highlighted numbers, with day 254 in the middle, that day being 9-11. That total was 2289. see my post for that info. Using this spreadsheet in Excel, you can find totals of numbers; grids, like shown, or running totals like I mention - but you need a spreadsheet program to find the totals easily. otherwise you have to add numbers by hand, like mankind has had to do for centuries. haha.

and yes, I had heard about the 254 number and Bin Laden.

hope that is helpful!
