Ezekiel 38:4a And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth,

Ezekiel 39:2a And I will turn thee back,

(When I was first saved, I was told that Ezekiel is speaking about Russia.

It was practically heresy to even think anything but that.

Yet, I don't remember studying in school about Russia having been in the land of Israel, before.

Even while working & living in the old Soviet Union, I never heard or read anything mentioning about them being in the land of Israel, before.)

(However, Turkey did rule over that land, until General Allenby & the collapse of the caliphate, brought that to an end.

When Turkey had the land, it was rather desolate, according to eye-witness accounts, like Mark Twain, and even a number of old photographs.

After they lost control, they saw the eventual return of the Jews to the land.

They saw the land being transformed before their very eyes.

Swamps & deserts were transformed into beautiful land for agriculture and living.

They saw a land that they bereft of trees, now blooming with tens of thousands of newly planted, or transplanted, trees.

They saw what had been the backside of a looked down upon area, transformed into a rich & powerful nation.

The return of the nation of Israel was living proof of the failure of Turkey, their caliphate, their religion, and their god.)

Ezekiel 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

  12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

(Will Turkey be unable to resist moving against Israel?

If so, they would not try to go it alone.

They would have a number of other islamic nations assist them, from the north, east, and south of Israel.)

(So, is it possible that Turkey, rather than Russia, could be the one heading up the Ezekiel 38 & 39 invasion?)
