(fivedoves.com)in which you asked how the days of the Great Tribulation are shortened since Matthew 24:22 says, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened."   He said these words during his 3 1/2 yr. ministry on Earth.

Then years later John was given the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ which gives us the days of the Antichrist as 1260 days or 42 months, 1260 days for the two Witnesses and 1260 days that the woman, who fled into the wilderness,  will be fed.  It is a place prepared for her by the Lord according to Revelation 12:6, "And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days."  So He shortened the elect's days of 1,260 days down to "0" zero  days spent under the reign of the Antichrist because they are safe from him for 1,260 days in the wilderness where they are being taken care of,

So if the elect are in the wilderness for 1,260 days, they won't be going through the great tribulation period of 1,260 days of the Antichrist's reign on Earth which means they won't be martyred for not worshipping the beast neither will they have to be concerned about buying or selling since the elect will be fed there for the entire period of 1,260 days.
