Hi Paul, John and Doves,
Paul - your letter rang so many bells for me. I actually despise institutionalised religion. The Roman Catholic church, church of England etc. Not one of the churches I have attended in the UK teach prophecy. The word 'tragic' doesn't even begin to cover it. I always recall the moment that our precious LORD Jesus died - the heavy curtain that closed off the Holy of Holies to the common man, was torn in two. Jesus opened up the path for all of us. No longer do we need the intercession of priests etc., to approach Almighty God. LORD Jesus opened up our free ability to approach Almighty God, directly. It's now up to each individual.
I am not saying that there are no good pastors, priests, vicars etc., but I am saying that they are not necessary for us to now have a close and personal relationship with Almighty God. Hallelujah. Praise His Holy Name.
