Acts 1:9-12 shows the Lord Jesus ascending up into heaven, and then the disciples returning to Jerusalem from the mount of Olivet after His ascension.
Zechariah 14:3-5 shows the Lord Jesus' feet standing on the mount of Olives when He returns with all His saints.
Although the Bible does not say on what part of the Mount of Olives His feet will stand on His return, it does say where on the Mount of Olives He ascended into heaven which was near Bethany which is on the far side of the Mount of Olives on its eastern slope. Bethany was the home of Mary, Martha & Lazarus (John 12:1-3) along with Simon the leper (Mark 14:3-9) in whose home Jesus' head was anointed with ointment of spikenard by Mary. Bethany is 1.7 miles or 2.7 km from Jerusalem on the road to Jericho.
Luke 24:50-51, "And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven."
