Hello John and Doves,I'd like to add to this letter from last week:After writing "The Correct Way to Count The Hebrew Days? Part 2 and Aaron/God A Minute" for today's Doves' letters, I needed to add a few things. In this Part 2 letter, I wrote about the Feast of Firstfruits, according to Leviticus 23, is on the day after the Sabbath. This places this feast day after the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread is finished up.Jesus's body was in the tomb on Feast of Unleavened Bread AND it looks like He rose during this seven day feast - fulfilling the prophecy of Matthew 12:40 that "the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." During this feast 'week' - the Lord said the first and seventh day are "sacred assemblies" - fire offerings, no regular work, etc. This long time period will help square away the concerns for the many many questions about the 'three days and three nights' from crucifixion to resurrection - i.e. the actual length of this time period. No one witnessed the actual resurrection - the guards knew something happened inside the tomb but mums the word for them. When Mary and others showed up at the tomb, the stone had already been rolled away and there were no soldiers/guards noted guarding the tomb - so, at some point, they have already fled the area. So on what day was Jesus actually resurrected? On what day was the stone actually rolled away? Was it rolled away a couple of days before Mary showed up? John 3:16 notes that it was still dark when Mary arrived at the tomb. None of Jesus' followers checked on the tomb after the Feast of Unleaveaned bread had started....So on which day did He actually rise on?1) If we go by the three days/three nights - then it was during the Feast of Unleavened Bread that he rose from the grave - before the Feast of Firstfruits.2) If we say He arose on the Feast of Firstfruits (the day after the Sabbath of Feast of Unleavened Bread), then there are extra days to account for, from His death to His resurrection.3) ??In the letter linked above, I wrote that I believe that Jesus Himself is in every Feast Day - from Passover to Feast of Tabernacles - when He rules as king over Israel and all the nations of the world - His millennial kingdom on earth.Feast of Firstfruits occurs on the day after the Sabbath (which is the last/seventh day of Feast of Unleavened Bread) as per Leviticus 23: 11.Using 1) above:Jesus Himself was IN the Feast of Unleavened Bread - in this feast He was buried and rose from the dead. It's a week of burnt offerings - fire offerings, eating unleavened bread, no regular work and there are two sacred assemblies - Day 1 and Day 7.Jesus Himself was IN the Feast of Firstfruits - the angel announced that 'He is not here. He is risen.' Jesus showed Himself on this day in His new immortal body for the first time. Fulfilling the prophecies. He shows His Believers His 'resurrected from the dead' body. On the Feast of Firstfruits, He made Himself known as resurrected from the dead to Mary and to others on that day. He showed up at the house where the disciples had locked themselves in - on the very evening of that day - the first day of the week. John 20:19This announcement is a BIG deal. Christ's resurrection is the foundation of Christianity and the source of our Hope in our own resurrection to be with Him in the place He has prepared for us. Surely, this appearance would have it's own feast day? The Feast of Firstfruits.Paul told us that "..if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins." I Cor 15:14,17To conclude Jesus IN the feast days - my thoughts:Passover: Jesus was the Passover sacrificed Lamb.Feast of Unleavened Bread: Jesus was in the tomb/Jesus was resurrected from the dead.Feast of Firstfruits: Jesus appeared to many in His resurrected body. This is the very foundation of our Christian faith.Feast of Weeks/Haverst and Shavuot: Jesus' Ascension Day - He ascended into Heaven and sits on the right hand of God.Feast of New Wine/Acts Pentecost: The True Pentecost (Acts); Jesus returns in the clouds for His Believers - this is the day the Church was "created" (the Holy Spirit was given) this will be the day the Church is "removed" - Raptured.Feast of New Oil: ??Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets: Jesus returns to Earth with the armies of Heaven - every eye will see him. Rev 1:7 Battle of Armageddon. (Possible Rapture day for many - 'at the last trump'.)Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur: Jesus will meet us 'face to face' - He is our High Priest.Feast of Tabernacles: Jesus rules and reigns over all the nations of the Earth for a thousand years. "And all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles." Zechariah 14:16
We can see the steps of Jesus going through the 'Feasts of the Lord' - we are told these are appointed time and they are prophetic. They show the story of salvation. It's pretty easy to see Jesus in each of these feasts.Just some thoughts for now...I am looking for the Rapture - any day. BUT IF it is to occur on a Feast of the Lord - I'm looking to Feast of New Wine. Luis Vega has done exceptional work on this Feast Day and he has sent in many, many letters to Doves, especially recently. In this letter he clearly presents his case for his New Wine Theory. And is looking at July 23, 2024.
