John, in Revelation 19, was rebuked by the angel, bit why wasn't Lot rebuked in Genesis 19?Lot bowed himself to the angels, and was not rebuked by them:
Genesis 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
Doesn't it say that Lot bowed?It is not saying that he worshipped them, though, correct?John went to worship the angel, and was rebuked:
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Wasn't this similar to Cornelius worshipping Peter?
Acts 10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
Can't a case can be made, that even though the bowing and worshipping can be related, it looks like they can be referred to separately?
Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
and again:
II Chronicles 29:29 And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped.
and again:
Genesis 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
