Hi:

The two witnesses are part of the First Resurrection. The thousand years divide the First Resurrection from the Last Resurrection.

Rev_20:5,6 says, "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

Mat 22:31,32 says, "But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

I can vouch for that. Ed came to see me in his celestial body. He is not asleep, he is awake. He had visited his family and my family, so they are all awake.

Old Testament saints are awake, because "they desire a better country". The dead don't desire anything.

Heb 11:15,16 says,  "And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16  But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city."

Patti,

You explained about the three stages of the resurrection of the believers.

I was wondering, into which of the three stages would the rising of the two witnesses go?

                         Thank you,
