Heard an awesome testimony from an older Christian couple who were missionaries in Russia right after they opened the doors to the west during perestroika.
She said that persecution does not cause unity
 
I had always thought otherwise
I thought that this would be a tool, difficult times, to bring the church together.
Instead, the churches turned against each other in Russia
They failed under the persecution to maintain their unity
They turned one another in to the authorities.
 
So, after thinking about it, I believe it will happen again
This will be a time of great testing
I am hoping we will not be here
But, if I am honest, I must realize it is happening to many Christians already
