Myra (26 July 2011) "Fay, John, Doves re Av 9"   I've been to Israel 3 times and it seemed like we were told that we were in the same year until Rosh HaShana (usually Sept.) when Israel would jump ahead of us.  We wouldn't catch up to them until our New Year in December.    So, wouldn't that mean Israel is approx. 3 months ahead of us instead of behind?   Would love to have a knowledgable Jewish person clear this up.  Thanks!
