(The path of the second advent, up from Sinai in the land of Midian, up through Paran, Bozrah, and the land of Edom:)
Habakkuk 3:3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
(It said, “thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked”, is that a fulfilment of what the LORD said to the serpent?)
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Psalms 74:14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
(Just like he did by the hand of Moses during the Exodus from Egypt, Jesus will march and fight northward,to take again, Bashan and Gilead, the east bank, for his people Israel, from Palestinians and Arabs in modern day Jordan:)
Micah 7:14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.
(David also prophesied of this dual fulfillment at the second advent:)
Psalms 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
