"BUT YOU, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS" BECAUSE...............

The Apostle Paul said, "BUT YOU, BRETHREN,  ARE NOT IN DARKNESS," because I am giving you THE SIGN that you are to watch for YOUR NEARING RAPTURE which comes in conjunction with the  coming Day of the Lord. THE SIGN which I am giving you to watch for so that you will not be "IN DARKNESS" as to the timing of YOUR RAPTURE  is : "WHEN they say peace and safety, THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION COME UPON THEM"  according to :

1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 ( Paul speaking of the timing of the coming rapture )

"But of the times and the seasons , brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the DAY OF THE LORD so comes as a thief in the night. For WHEN they say, Peace and safety; THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION COMES UPON THEM, and they ( Israel ) shall not escape. But you, brethren, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, so THAT DAY should ( not ) overtake you as a thief."

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT :

The Apostle Paul has just told us what THE SIGN is that we are to watch for the nearness of our RAPTURE so that we "ARE NOT IN DARKNESS" as to when it is about to happen. THAT SIGN is the "SUDDEN DESTRUCTION" upon Israel caused by the Gog-Magog War beginning. Then Paul tells us that because we now know WHAT THE SIGN IS WE ARE TO WATCH FOR of our coming rapture, we are now the "children of the light" according to  :

1 Thessalonians 5:5-6 ( because we now know the sign of our nearing rapture we are no longer in darkness, but we are now the children of the light, i.e.. because we now know THE SIGN )

"You are all children of LIGHT, and the children of THE DAY: we are not of the night, NOR OF DARKNESS.  Therefore let us not sleep as do others; BUT LET US WATCH and be sober."

WE NOW KNOW TO WATCH FOR THE "SUDDEN DESTRUCTION" UPON ISRAEL, CAUSED BY THE GOG-MAGOG WAR,  AS THE SIGN OF OUR NEARING RAPTURE !
