The man corners the deer, gives it a tranquilizer, then brings it to the vet to be healed. Then I believe the man puts the deer on his own couch and covers it with a blanket. The following footage shows the deer reappearing not just him or herself, but it's as if the deer told the other deer and they all followed. Great clip:
