This is a really great story. The painting shows the devil laughing thinking he's one the chess match. It shows the Lord looking anxiously at the chess board. One day, a group of people was touring the Louvre and they came to that painting. When they moved on to the next painting one person stayed behind still staring at the chess board. That man was a world champion chess player. He said they are going to have to change the name of the painting. They said why? And he responded because the King still has another move!
In reality, it would probably go more like Jesus saying, are you ready to begin? Checkmate!Steve M
