"highway emissions rules battle"

Here in California, back in the 1970's we used to be able to see
the air. Wherever you looked, even despite an on-shore breeze, there
was a ring of brown haze on the horizon.
In the next decade, a new type of gasoline was mandated, costing
considerably more than the national standard. Even today our gas is
about a dollar more expensive than the national average. We also have
smog checks every two years.
Every time a car is registered/ owner changed, smog is checked.
For decades now, we no longer see the air we breathe. Sadly, we
still get some of China's pollution. However, most their the pollution
still blesses the Pacific NWest.
So you see, even climate liberalism has accidentally had some benefits.
