The
Red Heifer
Numbers 19:1-10
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 "Here is another
ritual law required by the LORD: Tell the
people of Israel to bring you a red heifer
that has no physical defects and has never
been yoked to a plow.
3 Give it to Eleazar the priest, and it
will be taken outside the camp and slaughtered
in his presence.
4 Eleazar will take some of its blood on
his finger and sprinkle it seven times toward the
front of the Tabernacle.
5 As Eleazar watches, the heifer must be
burned — its hide, meat, blood, and
dung.
6 Eleazar the priest must then take
cedarwood, a hyssop branch, and scarlet thread and
throw them into the fire where the heifer is
burning.
7 "Then the priest must wash his clothes and bathe
himself in water. Afterward he may return to the
camp, though he will remain ceremonially unclean
until evening.
8 The man who burns the animal must also wash his
clothes and bathe in water, and he, too, will remain
unclean until evening.
9 Then someone who is ceremonially clean will
gather up the ashes of the heifer and place
them in a purified place outside the camp.
They will be kept there for the people of Israel
to use in the water for the purification ceremony.
This ceremony is performed for the removal of
sin.
10 The man who gathers up the ashes of the
heifer must also wash his clothes, and he
will remain ceremonially unclean until evening.
This is a permanent law for the people of
Israel and any foreigners who live among them.
Christians are clean by the blood of
Christ.
Hebrews 9:11-13
When Christ came as high priest of the good things
that are already here, he went through the greater
and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made,
that is to say, not a part of this creation.
He did NOT enter by means of the
blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most
Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having
obtained eternal redemption. The blood of
goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer
sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean
sanctify them so that they are outwardly
clean.
There
WILL be a future Third Temple, the Bible clearly
states that. The world leader that we call the
Antichrist will walk into it and stop the
sacrifices taking place there.
He
will then commit an act that Jesus called the
future "abomination of desolation".
There
are Biblical requirements to build that Jewish
Temple, one of those is the ashes of a red heifer.
Matthew 24:15, 21
Jesus said,"When ye therefore shall see
the
abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (
whoso
readeth, let him understand:)
... For then shall be
great tribulation,
such as
was not since the beginning of the world
to this time, no, nor ever shall be".
Daniel 9:27
He (the Antichrist) will confirm a covenant with
many for one 'seven.' (7 years) In the middle of
the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and
offering. And on a wing [of the temple]
he will set up an abomination that causes
desolation, until the end that is decreed is
poured out on him.
Daniel 8:13
Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy
one said to him, "How long will it take for the
vision to be fulfilled-the vision
concerning the
daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes
desolation, and the
surrender of the
sanctuary and of the host that will be
trampled underfoot?"
Daniel 12:11
"From the time that the daily sacrifice is
abolished and the abomination that causes
desolation is set up, there will be 1,290
days.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-4
Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for
that day will not come until the rebellion occurs
and the
man of lawlessness {Antichrist)
is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
He will oppose and
will exalt himself over everything that is called
God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up
in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Revelation 11:1
I was given a
reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and
measure the temple of God and the altar, and
count the worshipers there.
