John and Doves,
I used to believe Marriage Supper should be held in heaven. But a revisit to Matthew 26 changes my mind.
Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my
Father's kingdom.
Jesus did not finish the Passover meal with his disciples. He promised them he would finish the Passover seder with them in his Father's kingdom.
Concerning where is his Father's kingdom, Mark and Luke has better explanation.
Mark 14: 24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. 25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no
more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Luke 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
His Father's kingdom is the Kingdom of God which is on earth, not in heaven. Paul has further illustrated the kingdom of God in 1 Corinthians
15.
1 Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh
the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Then comes the end is the end of tribulation, when Jesus shall deliver the kingdom to God. This kingdom Jesus shall deliver to God is called
kingdom of God by Jesus in Matthew 26:29, Mark 14:25 and Luke 22:16. This is the millennium kingdom on earth, where Jesus shall put down all rule and all authority and power.
Having said this, the new wine Jesus shall drink with his disciples shall be held in Kingdom of God which is on earth, not the heavenly kingdom.
And he shall drink the new wine with them during the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which is the continuation of the last supper.
4 cups of wine are served during the Passover seder. According to Luke, Jesus only finished two cups of wine during the last supper. The 4
cups of wine represents four different terms of deliverance "I will bring you out … deliver you … redeem you … and will take you to Me for a people". When Jesus finishes the last 2 cups, which is to redeem them, and take them to be his people, the final redemption
of Israel is complete.
