"REPLY TO GINO -- How Do People Possibly Teach Annihilation From Rev. 14?"

In reply to your 1/23 post at How do people possibly teach annihilation from Revelation 14? (fivedoves.com) I don't see how anyone could teach annihilation from Rev. 14:9-11 either.

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

However, maybe they are thinking of 2 Thess. 1:7-10 which says, "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day."

They may be thinking of those "who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord."
