Is the "moment" referred, to here, the same as the past 2,000 years
Isaiah 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
If so, then is the "everlasting kindness" referring to enduring kindness toward Israel, long past the thousand year kingdom?Could that also be related to the "thousand generations"?
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
I Chronicles 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
Psalms 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Is this saying that in the future, someone would still be considered an infant at a hundred years old?
Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
At some point, will the lifespan of a person be like the lifespan of a tree?
Isaiah 65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
Do not sequoias live over 2,000 years?If so, then, is this question, that Solomon asked, more than hypothetical?
Ecclesiastes 6:6 Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
Was Abraham the 20th generation?
I Chronicles 1:1 Adam, Sheth, Enosh,2 Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,3 Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,4 Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,27 Abram; the same is Abraham.
Then wasn't it 42 more generations to Jesus?
Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
Then, is a generation is forty years?If so, wouldn't then there have been about 50 generations from the time of Jesus until now?Or even if a generation is considered only 20 years, from the birth of one generation to the birth of the next, wouldn't that make 100 generations?If so, then wouldn't that mean about 162 generations from creation until now?Then, will generations be longer in the thousand year kingdom?Then, if generations are about a fourth of a lifespan apart (20 out of 80 years), and if lifespans will be like 2,000 years, will generations be like 200 years apart?If so, then how long will a thousand generations take?
