…. The things some Christians say as they sit in judgment of others!!!   I was just reading on another board some comments where people were giving V.P. Mike Pence the white glove treatment, “wagging bony fingers of condemnation” towards him – for his visit with the pope today (Sat. Jan. 25)  and they figure/assume our V.P. did not share the gospel with the pope – so boy, are people taking him to task!!!

 

Though (I think?)  one of the chief commentators “means well”, she claims:  “no true believers have ever been in high places.” 

 

Now another site that’s one of my favs., the guy claims the same thing.

 

I’d  like to ask a question!!!!!   WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE????!!!!!!!   And who knows FOR SURE, with absolute certainty that there are NO TRUE BELIEVERS in HIGH PLACES!!!!????

 

I’ve got news for you & specifically for this lady & others who thinks like she does!!!!   My husband and I know of AT LEAST ONE “true believer” in high places in the U.S. Government!!!!  Yes, like in the world, there are very few, a remnant if you will….. but we should know!  We are close friends with him & helped “put him there”.  I’m not at liberty to say who it is.  But I can bet my bottom dollar he’s a real Christian!   Prayed with & for us the times we dined together.  Came from a Christian home. LIVES out his testimony!!  So it’s not merely tossing out the lingo that he’s “Christian” just to appease people.

 

I can only HOPE that his being there, that this hasn’t happened to him:   Do not be misled: "Bad companionships corrupt good morals."   1 Cor 15:33   Though I doubt it has, he has a staff of solid Christians, too.

 

 

For the commentator & anyone who thinks like that:

 

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.    James 4:11

 

 

BTW, the Apostle Paul did not share the gospel with everyone!!!!!

There’s a time & a place!!!!!

 

 

I do not share the gospel with everyone either.  I try to go by following the Lord, sensing whether the time is right, sensing whether the person on the other end will even LISTEN (hear) it or not.  But I do try to:

Colossians 4:6, ESV: "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person."

 

 

I guess, according to the Christian condemnation crowd….. those who stand on self-righteous quicksand…..  would be very hasty in wagging the same finger of condemnation in my face!!!!!!!!!!

 

C’mon people!!!!!!

 

It’s quite possible that VP Mike Pence “accomplished” all that the Lord had him accomplish!!!!!

 

Would the pope, who thinks he’s the Lord’s substitute, have even been RECEPTIVE to hearing the gospel????   And who’s to say that VP Pence didn’t share a sentence or two anyway????

 

We need to PRAY FOR our leaders!!!!!!

 

NOT condemn & criticize them!!!!

 

I always say I’m glad that God is God & the righteous Judge!!   I’d personally rather stand before Him than self-righteous moody men!!!!   (or women)
