Closer to Midnight ….Watching the Second Hand!!
Most Doves would be aware that the Doomsday Clock has been moved closer to Midnight (one news link below). An unusual thing happened recently in Canberra…a new apartment and hotel complex was announced with the name MIDNIGHT!! The advertising includes the adage…As Midnight Strikes, Tomorrow Beckons! While it will take some time to complete, the website says Midnight is Coming!!
A strange witness to what we already know…the acceleration of God’s eternal purposes!! Jesus gave a clear and strong warning that we should WATCH!! See verses from Matthew 25 and Mark 13 below.
John… interesting that there is a reference to the CROWING OF THE ROOSTER in Mark 13 (in this Chinese year of the Rooster!!)
Matthew 25 6 at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming…go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those (five wise) virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
Mark 13 32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming..in the evening, at midnight, at the CROWING OF THE ROOSTER, or in the morning. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
As Doves, we are in a better position to look into the future through prophecy, especially God’s timelines for Israel…we can watch the Second Hand!!! And the second hand is accelerating. For those interested, I wrote a letter on this back in 2011 (link below).
