"Birds attack peace doves freed from pope's window - Yahoo News"

This is at least the second time that one of the "Popes doves," has been attacked by an unclean bird.

"Dove" first use: KJV
Gen 8:8   Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
Gen 8:9   But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

The dove has also represented "peace," and the Holy Spirit. The first time the pope sent only one dove, and it was attacked. Therefore there was no chance of "peace," and the Holy Spirit definitely wasn't present at that time and location.

This time the pope was assisted with two children, with two doves. To me, this pictures more like a priestly offering. Such as:
Luk 2:21   And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Luk 2:22   And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
Luk 2:23   (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
Luk 2:24   And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

Now, I might have things mixed up, because I'm not an expert. But if I recall correctly, one of the doves is sacrificed while the other is dipped in blood and released. It seems as if this type of offering is being presented before the pope. I am not sure if it is an offering for sin or cleansing. (Is there a difference?).

If anything, it looks like another parable.
