Daniel 9:27
"He will CONFIRM A COVENANT WITH MANY for one seven....."

*He (the anti-Christ) will not make a new covenant, but rather the
covenant he will confirm is already in place. It is the Covenant God
made with Abraham whereby God gave the Jews the land of Israel
forever. This act will make him really popular with the Jews by
guaranteeing them the 'peace and safety' they desire, and allowing
them to re-build the temple. He will be the head of the U.N. at the
time he 'confirms' the covenant. The 'many' with whom the covenant is
'confirmed' with are the world member nations of the U.N.  We know
what happens three and one-half years later into the seven-years.

Daniel 11:31
"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and
will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the
abomination that causes desolation."

*As the head of the U.N. he will be in charge of the U.N. "armed
forces" spoken of in Daniel 11:31. They will be the U.N.  'peace
keeping'  armed forces occupying Israel at the time.

Luke 21:20
"When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that its
desolation is near."

*The armies surrounding Jerusalem are the U.N. 'peace keeping' armies
of its world member nations placed there to keep the 'peace and
safety' for the first three and one-half years.

Luke 21:22
"For this is the 'time of punishment' in fulfillment of all that has
been written."

*The "time of punishment" is the great tribulation which begins when
the anti-Christ sits in the temple and proclaims himself to be God.

Luke 21:28
"When these things BEGIN to take place stand up and lift up your
heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
