Hi Raul,I'm not disagreeing that there is probably a world wide earthquake at the time of the Ezekiel 38 war, as I believe that the Seal Judgments parallel the consequences of that war nicely. I am, however, open to the Ezekiel war being just a regional war before Daniel's 70th Week begins, with the antichrist rising in the power vacuum that will be left in the Middle East. I just believe that the evidence better supports the former possibility.One thing to point out that would allow the Gog and Magog War to be just a regional war, before the global Judgements begin, is that Ezekiel tells us that the earthquake will be in Israel. The text does not say the "whole world".Ezekiel 38:19-20 For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’While I lean towards this war paralleling the 6th Seal, which definately has a world wide earthquake, the shaking could just be a trembling of fear, not physical shaking, except in Israel. There is a similar verse below. God is using the physical shaking of the mountains to get the attention from the nations. They will tremble at His presence. This appears to be trembling in fear, not physical shaking.Isaiah 64:1-2 Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence— As fire burns brushwood, As fire causes water to boil— To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence!
Let's take the Ezekiel 38 earthquake out of the equation for a moment. There is definately a global earthquake in Revelation 6. Do you believe that the 6th Seal is also Armageddon?I think we should be careful to assume that just because there are at least two passages that describe a global earthquake that they are one and the same. Based on other factors, I firmly believe that the Revelation 6 earthquake occurs early on in the Tribulation and the Revelation 16 earthquake occurs at the time of Armageddon.At any rate, whether the Gog and Magog War leads to the confirming of the covenant, or comes after and kicks off Daniel's 70th week, I am convinced that it is not the same war as Armageddon as I discuss here:Maranatha!Amy Van GerpenRaul D (29 Jan 2011)

Regional vs Global lets only compare the earthquake
Amy you said Ezekiel 38-39:16 appears to cover one regional event. Amy the earthquake is both.
in Ezekiel 38:20 sayes all the men that are upon the face of the earth Notice All MEN are not ALL in Israel, All men are spread out through the Globe, its not only Regional, All men upon earth its Global. All men in the whole earth shall shake at God's presence.
Ezekiel 38:18-20 every wall shall fall to the ground and the 7th vial of Rev 16:17-19 the cities of the nations fell, both are talking about a Global Earthquake, lets compare, both are talking about what's happening in Israel and around the globe at the same time, buildings and houses have walls and all of them fell down .
Amy consider this if every wall fell in Israel the list will include mountains, bridges, highways, infustructure, roads, airports, hospitals, banks, no more gas stations, there will be no electricity or fresh water, etc. won't the building of the 3rd temple be delayed with no one having a home or residence for shelter, and all that debris to clean up especially with the strength of the earthquake to cause every wall to fall and causing the mountains to be thrown down, and the steep places to fall. And if its in the middle of the tribulation how will the AC sit in the temple if every wall including the 3rd temple fell to the ground.
