"Something Peculiar is Afoot."

Hi John and Doves,

As an avid watchman/woman, I notice changes of pattern in the way our news is reported in the UK. In recent months, we have been treated to loads of news about the European royals. Queen Letizia of Spain, Matilda, Margareta etc. We were even treated to a photo shoot and storyline about the disenfranchised royals from the Bulgarian throne - or was it Albanian? I can't really remember. Another article informed us that Princess Kate (married to Prince William) is related to the Bowes-Lyon family. The late Queen Mother was a Bowes-Lyon. The plot doth thicken! They are all related in some way or another.

Just recently, Princess Kate was hospitalised for 'abdominal surgery'. She was in hospital for ages. We have never been told what the surgery was for. Just the fact that it was 'abdominal'. Her recuperation -  the media informs us - is likely to last until after Easter this year. At the same time, king Charles was hospitalised for an enlarged prostate. See 2nd link.

King Charles extends hospital stay as he recovers from prostate surgery, sparking concerns for his health: Royals had planned for monarch to stay at The London Clinic for two nights only, insider claims (msn.com)

We have had very little news of Prince William - just that he is holding down the fort with his children while Kate is in recovery. We've been treated to loads of photos of Princess Anne and other royals, taking up the slack. The oddest thing about this entire affair is that Charles and Kate were in the same hospital - at the same time. The royals usually get treated at another private hospital but both Charles and Kate were treated at the London Clinic. The lack of details regarding their health is very odd indeed. We have seen no photos of Kate entering or leaving the hospital. We have no idea what the 'abdominal surgery' was actually about. Trust me - this is highly unusual. This is something to keep our eyes on.
