In reply to your 2/20 post the time of Jacob’s trouble (fivedoves.com) the Great Tribulation of 1,260 days is the time of Jacob's trouble when the Antichrist invades "the glorious land"of Israel according to Daniel 11:41 and he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas (Dead Sea & Mediterranean Sea) in the glorious holy mountain; (the Temple Mount on Mount Zion in Jerusalem) according to Daniel 11:45. Jacob's other name is Israel whom he represents. The Antichrist will be taking away the daily sacrifice in the Temple of God in Jerusalem & the abomination of desolation (image) will be set upon the Temple Mount at which time the people in Judea are to flee. This is the time that that the dragon, Satan, will be trying to attack the people of Israel.
I don't know why some people insist that the Church goes through the Great Tribulation since born again Christians will be gathered together, raptured & taken to heaven between the falling away & the Abomination of Desolation (image of the Beast) being set up on the Temple Mount for worldwide worship of him at which time the Antichrist has power over the people on Earth for 1,260 days or 42 months.
The Antichrist doesn't really have to sit in the Temple of God to reveal himself to the world. When he takes away the daily sacrifice and receives what appears to be a mortal deadly wound by a sword and yet lives which may look like he was resurrected back to life when he should have died, then a lot of people around the world will think that he is God which causes the falling away after which the Rapture could take place before the image of the Beast is set up on the Temple Mount for all people around the world to worship.
2 Thess. 2:1-4, "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
