The House is to vote on the Equality Act today, Thursday; and it is expected to pass.  It's described as an act to "protect LGBTQ Americans". i.e. prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation and sex. .  

 

The House Democrats will approve the Equality Act.  As they control the House.   

 

The Equality Act will then go on to the Senate for a vote.  The Senate is split 50:50 - Democrat:Republican.  A tie breaking vote would be cast by Kamala Harris.  This act, however, requires a 60 vote to pass. Democrats will need 10 Republicans to join them.

 

In the Senate, Senators could lower the voting threshold from 60 to 55 or through a process called "reconciliation", legislation could be passed with only 51 votes.  They could also 'scrap' the legislative filibuster to get this passed.  Progressives are calling the legislative filibuster "structural racism" and want the filibuster gone - this would insure that this act reaches Biden's desk.

 

When this passes, Biden will sign it and it will become the law of the land.

 

Senator Merkley (D-Ore) is the chief sponsor of the Equality Act, which was voted down the last time it came up for a vote.  He is representing this act as "I think most Americans are still stunned to learn that in the majority of America's states you can still be thrown out of a restaurant, legally, because of who you are or who you love.  It's an outrageous situation and it needs to be remedied and Mitch McConnell should not have a veto (with the filibuster)."  And this act would enable "every American to participate fairly in the housing market and on juries and in financial transactions and in public accommodations."  And he is actively trying to recruit those 10 Republicans.  The way things stand in the Senate today, he doesn't believe it will pass.  https://www.washingtonblade.com/2021/02/24/sen-merkley-hints-at-support-for-scrapping-filibuster-to-pass-equality-act/

I know of no state where people are 'thrown out of restaurants' because of them being gay, or trans.  I know of no law in any state that allows this.  A cake shop owner can refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay marriage, per the Supreme Court ruling - this couple can easily go to another cake shop instead of pushing their beliefs on another person, but they are not 'thrown out' of any shops or restaurants.   I know of no state laws that prevent gay people from purchasing a house, or a trans person from serving on a jury.  Separate public accommodations make sense on a health and safety level.  But Merkley doesn't see that. Blatant lies by this Democrat to appeal to people's 'emotions'.  Lying about an act to get it passed is evil and devious.  He does not tell people what is does to religious freedom, freedom of speech, etc.

 

What will this mean when it is passed?  This will certainly become the law of the land....eventually.  If not this year, then when they change the Senate rules or change the number of Democrats in the Senate via stolen elections.

 

Churches and religious schools would have to hire people who do not support the church/school beliefs.   Conservative schools would have to hire anti-God, pro-abortion, progressive teachers.   Businesses would have to implement the LGBTQ+ agenda and the abortion agenda.  Charities and other nonprofits would also be under the new law.

 

What else would be affected by this act?  How about the women's prayer meetings, the men's breakfast clubs, women's shelters, single-sex schools, all boys choir, all girls choir, various school clubs/functions...neither males nor females will have any privacy in bathrooms, locker rooms.  

 

Businesses would be fined; churches, charities, nonprofits would loose their tax-exempt status.  All would have to kowtow to the Democrat agenda.

 

This law would make abortions "health care" - no different than stitching up a cut or doing a mammogram.

 

It would criminalize counseling for LGBTQ+ people by pastors, priests, rabbis, psychologists, school counselors, etc. 

 

This law would allow biological males into female bathrooms, locker rooms, girl's sports, female sporting competition/activities.  And, yes, the reverse would be true for male sports, male bathrooms...  But the problem is mostly about males getting into the privacy of females, the sports of females.  

 

At least the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has spoken out about this - where are the 'mega' churches?  The USCCB said this bill will "impose sweeping new norms that negatively impact the unborn, health care, charitable services, schools, personal privacy, athletics, free speech, religious liberties, and parental rights."

The Democrats see this act as civil rights protections on the basis of "sexual orientation and gender identity", when in fact, this is nothing but an assault on our Judeo-Christian beliefs.

 

The book of Genesis is very clear about what God intended for man:  He created man and He created woman; He created marriage between a man and a woman; He created man in His own image.

 

We are seeing an assault by man on what God created - dozens of various sexes, marriage between male/male, female/female, etc., the abortion of babies and then leaving the babies from failed abortions to die.  Spreading their sick, perverted anti-God agenda on us all!

 

The Democrats and all who support this act want everyone complicit in their sin against God.  'If we are going to sin, so are you!  We will take you to Hell with us!'  

 

Remember:  we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against 'the rulers of the darkness of this world'.  They want us in Hell.  They want us to shake our fists in the face of God!

 

Reminds me of the angels who turned against God and meet on Mt. Hermon to swear a pact against God and to corrupt man.
