"RE: Luis Vega: 02.17.19: ark"

Luis,
Absolutely phenomenal!
You must put a tremendous amount of time into your research.
I had a couple of questions that you may have already thought about:
1) Could the staff, Aaron's rod that budded, have been placed in the ark at an angle?
e.g. from the front-top-left corner, to the back-bottom-right corner?
that would allow for the longest possible distance within the ark:
Exodus 25:10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof,
and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
If it was laid down flat, the longest it could have been was 2.5 cubits  (~3.8 feet)
If it was against the back, but from a top corner to the bottom corner, it could have been:
((2.5)2 + (1.5)2) = 2.915 cubits  (~4.4 feet)
But if it went from the front-top-left corner, to the back-bottom-right corner, then it could have been:
((2.5)2 + (1.5)2 + (1.5)2) = 3.279 cubits  (~4.9 feet)
Wouldn't a staff of nearly 5 feet been more likely used, than one less than 4 feet?
2) The curtains in the back had extra length:
So, how were those innermost curtains of the tabernacle arranged? Each curtain was 28 cubits long, so it covered over the top, down the sides, coming to 1 cubit shy of the ground on both the north and south sides (i.e. the tabernacle was 10 cubits tall & 10 cubits wide). Each curtain was 4 cubits wide, two groups of five, coupled together, totaling 40 cubits of width, so 7½ would cover the north, top, and south sides of a 10x10x30 tabernacle. That leaves 2½ curtains for the back. 2½ would total 10 cubits wide. So how were they attached for the back, i.e. westside of the tabernacle? What I mean is, if the first curtain went over the top and hung down on the north & south sides, beginning from the eastern edge of the top, the next curtain coupled to it, also went from the north side, over the top, and down the south side, covering, so far, 4 + 4 = 8 cubits of the top, measuring back from the front. So 5 curtains would cover 20 cubits of the top, as well as down the north & south sides, the 20 cubits measuring back from the front. So 7 curtains covered 28 cubits. That leaves 2 cubits to still cover on the top, and remaining north & south sides, as well as the entire back, west side. So how were the remaining 2½ curtains arranged to do that? Were they tucked in? If so, on inside, or outside? Or were they spread out radially?

Thank you,
Gino
