"City of David"

Following on from my post about the Vatican fighting tooth and nail to gain ownership over Mount Zion - disallowing any archaeological digs under the political guise of NGO's and their statement that any Israeli archaeological research would be detrimental to Palestinians, I came across this. Link below. Remember how LORD Jesus said that "not one stone" would be left from the old Temple? Yet - this is the area of contention - of battles.... physical and spiritual.

Don't you find it odd that the Vatican is happy to allow the Muslims to lay claim to this area? While covertly pushing for ownership of the area of the City of David? Mount Zion? The Vatican claim this is holy to Christians because of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. But, WHY do they not want any archaeology conducted there? They are hiding something. Meanwhile - actively encouraging the battle - spiritual and physical - over the current Temple Mount/ Dome of Rock. I'll indulge in a bit of guesswork here! The Vatican perhaps reasons that, if they allow the Muslims to have the current Temple Mount, the Muslims will not interfere with a blatant Vatican takeover over of Mount Zion.

Revelation 14: 1 - 2.... Then I looked, and before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion in Jerusalem and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.

This passage is clear - the Lamb and 144,000 are standing on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Then, John hears an incredible sound from heaven. Both beautiful and mighty. Harpists.... thunders... roaring, rushing waters. This is no ordinary sound. It's powerful and huge. Which leads me to believe from Revelation 14:3, that the Temple from heaven, has descended to earth. Read closely:-

Revelation 14:3..... And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

Conclusion: The Lamb and 144,000 are stated in scripture to be standing on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Not "Heavenly Jerusalem" but Jerusalem on earth. Then there is an incredible sound - loud, powerful, beautiful, mighty. After this sound, the 144,000 are singing a new song and are before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. ALL of whom were previously in heaven. The Temple in heaven!! Now - this Temple is on earth.

Whether you choose to believe that the 144,000 were suddenly raptured into heaven from Mount Zion - hence the incredible sounds.... or you choose to believe that the heavenly Temple descends to earth on Mount Zion, can be argued until the cows come home. The point is that Mount Zion is THE place.

The Temple Mount is not where The world thinks it is
