"On March 17, 2015, will a new leader of Israel lead them into battle?"

Dear Doves,

On March 17, 2015, will a new leader of Israel lead them into battle?

I less than 5 weeks, I believe it is very possible that a leader I believe is a man of God, Benjamin Netanyahu, will be replaced by a new leader that will lead Israel into the final days.  Based on poll results, no single person will hold the majority of the 120 seats required, but instead will need to form a coalition of a few parties.  This is very common for Israel.  As such, the leading parties are of interest, and here are the two leading parties according to these latest polls:

-      Labor Party - Yitzhak Herzog (aka Isaac Herzog)

-      Likud Party - Benjamin Netanyahu

A recent poll survey gave Labor Party, when running with Hatnua and Kadima, projected seats of 22.  The Likud party, in contrast, has projected seats of 21.  This same poll survey showed that Herzog is only 1% behind Netanyahu as the “preferred leader” for Israel.

Here is why this may spell trouble for Israel.  Herzog is a firm believer in the two state solution, which, of course, is an abomination to the Lord.  In addition, Herzog is known to be friendly with Obama, also not good at all.

So, what’s in a name?

Sometimes the Lord gives us a hint of a person’s nature in their name.  Perhaps the Lord provides this to us as a hint, sort of like Obama being short for “Obama”-nation.  So then, what exactly does “Herzog” mean?

First off, “Herzog” is a German hereditary title that is thought, in English, to rank below a king but above a count.  This means something similar to either a Prince or a Duke.  That Herzog could be a self-appointed “Prince” in the near future is interesting in itself.

Secondly, “Herzog” is derived from the Germanic “He(e)r” meaning 'army' and “zog” meaning 'to go into battle’.  In other words, this is a German military leader’s title.  It may also have originated from the Proto-Germanic title of Harjanaz, who were elected by their tribes to lead them into battle.  In summary, Herzog, in essence, is a title borne by Germanic warriors who exercised military authority over a tribe by general acclaim among its members or warriors.  Sounds similar to the current poll results in Israel, doesn’t it?

CONCLUSION:  The relationship to a word derived from Germany meaning “to lead an army into battle”, given the background of the Nazis in WW2, simply can’t be underemphasized or ignored.

What is Herzog’s background?

Herzog was born in Tel Aviv, the son of General Chaim Herzog, the sixth president of Israel, and the grandson of a Rabbi. His father was born in Northern Ireland (being of Polish-Irish Jewish descent) and his mother was born in Egypt (being of Russian Jewish ancestry).

In June 2014, Herzog criticized Netanyahu for failing to engage the international community, failing to present a proposal for peace with Palestinians, and failure to work effectively with Obama. Herzog declared that Netanyahu's "loathing and hostility for Barack Obama” was one of his greatest failures, since it put Israel's security at risk.

With the governing coalition dissolving and new elections expected in March 2015, Herzog called on Hatnua and Kadima parties to join his Labor Party in forming a new coalition.  In an interview with YNET, Herzog stated, "I am capable of replacing Netanyahu. I will do everything in order to establish a bloc before the elections.”  Shortly thereafter, Herzog and Tzipi Livni, who was justice minister and is head of a centrist faction, announced they would campaign on a joint slate in the upcoming election in an effort to keep Netanyahu, leader of the Likud Party, from securing a fourth term as prime minister.  The joint list is named Zionist Camp.

The Zionist Camp, a joint venture of the Labor Party and Hatnuah as agreed to on 10 December 2014, forms a joint ticket.  The joint venture was established to create a large electoral list for the centre-left bloc in the hope that it will form the 34th government.  Hatnuah leader Tzipi Livni has said that other parties will also be part of the alliance.  Livni and Herzog said that, if the alliance forms the next government, they would take turns in the role of Prime Minister, with Herzog serving for the first two years and Livni for the second two, in a compromise known as rotation.

Unfortunately, when, and if, Livni takes over for the second half, she would not be an upgrade.  Livni has become one of her nation's leading voices for the two-state solution.  Two-state means double trouble for the Jews.

In conclusion - KEEP YOUR EYES ON ISRAEL!!  This may soon get very ugly very soon!!!

*             *                  *                  *                    *                *

Brothers and sisters, are you ready to meet the Lord in the sky?  Repent and believe that grace is by faith alone and can ONLY be attained through Jesus Christ.  Get ready and leave the temptations of this world behind and ready yourself as a Bride.

Surely, time is almost up.
