"QUOTING Newton vs CLAIMING Newton."

A while back, I invited those who claim that Newton predicted the end times would occur in 2016 to quote where Newton said that.  So far, no one has.  Unfortunately, many have still insisted on claiming that he said such a thing despite not being able to produce a quote of him saying what they claim he said.

There is NO EVIDENCE that Newton ever predicted the year 2016.

There is NO QUOTE of him adding 49 years to 1967 and getting 2016.  There is only one place where he discussed a 49 year period, and I will discuss that in a separate post.  But he NEVER said to add 49 years to 1967, or the recapture of Jerusalem, or anything that could be marked to 1967.  He was looking MUCH FATHER into the future than that.  Here's some REAL QUOTES from Newton.

Here are two quotes in which he used the year "2060".  I gave one of these last time but decided it might be good to quote the other too and I also finally figured out his handwriting on that mystery word, so I'll give both here;

  • "...and the days of the short lived Beasts being put for the years of lived kingdoms, the period of 1260 days, if dated from the complete conquest of these three kings A.C. 800 will end A.C. 2060.  It may be later, but I see no reason for its ending sooner."
    [AC = After Christ, a popular nomenclature in his day]

  • "Thefore the 2300 years do not end before the year 2132 nor after 2370. The times times and half time do not end before 2060..." (Click here)
