You gave me some things to think about.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

I used to think (because I heard many others say it), that Damascus would be nuked.

Now, there has been a protracted and deadly civil war in Syria.

Is it possible that it won't be Israel nuking Damascus, but the results of the civil war, instead.

Some years back, that happened to Beirut.

Perhaps that could happen, and more intensely, because of Syria's civil war?

That way the scripture could be fulfilled, with most of us still waiting for a nuke, that may not need to happen.

We could even miss the fulfillment happening before our eyes.
