"IMPORTANT Are you saved(response to Josh List to Walt)"

Hi Everyone
I know I keep repeating myself but my mission in this life is to serve the Saviour and in doing so I try to make sure the Gospel is preached and taught correctly.I believe the verse being referred to here is Matthew 7 starting with verse 21."Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of heaven;but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? and then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me,ye that work iniquity"

So many people quote these verses and say that it means you have to be better than this to get to heaven.(they are correct but it is not nothing they can do it is what Jesus did) These people thought they were working for the Lord and still did not make it to heaven. Jesus said I never knew you. This passage is similiar to Matthew 25 starting with verse 31. I will not quote it here but basically it is the passage where Jesus separates the sheep from the goat. The sheep were basically questioning Jesus saying when did they ever see him and do "any of those works" He says if you did it to 1 you did it to me. The goats on the other hand are similiar to the passage in Matthew chapter 7 quoted above. They said when did we see you and "not" help you.

Please ponder those verses.
1-Who is saved? The ones who are righteous.
2-how are we righteous? by faith in Jesus Romans 3:22"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all that believe:for there is no difference"
3-In the passage above they were doing there best to be approved by God, that is the ones who did not make it. Look at what they say they were doing: prophesing in his name and casting out demons and doing wonderful works...Sound familiar today maybe they were speaking in tongues or healing people but still they did not make it.
4-Yet look at the ones in Matthew chapter 25. The ones that "made it" did not even know they were doing it for the Lord.

You see the Bible is plain and simple. We are saved by "grace". If you try to get there on your own merit you will fail.If you think you must "help Jesus" you will fail. The goats never ever trusted Jesus alone for their salvation. Until you repent(change your mind on believing you need to help God)and Trust in Jesus death on the cross you too will be a goat. The Holy Spirit will indwell the believer and never leave him. So the only way to make sure you are saved is to trust Jesus and him only. If you have never done that you are not "born again".

Once born again you will never be disowned or unborn or lose your inheritance. A person on earth as a father or mother may disown their child but they do not have the same love for that child as God has for his. They do not have the power to "unborn their child". Even if they wanted to.Oh yes they can take away his gifts but he is still part of the family.

Please quit trying to be good enough because you may be depending on what you are doing and not what Jesus already did.

Romans 8:38-39"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor debt, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

Looks like nothing can take us away not even our old flesh nature.

Thank God for what he has done and is still doing
