"to Bruce and friends Tribulation-then Second Coming"

To Brother Bruce and Friends~

Revelation 2:10 “…you will have tribulation 10 days, be faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of life.”

There are 10 days from Feast of Trumpets- Rosh Hashanah until the end of Yom Kippur.

These are the “10 Days of Awe” for John and other readers this would be a reference to those days.

The faithful to the LORD will be going through and kept faithful through the time of tribulation.

The LORD Jesus has already fulfilled the first four feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost.

The ones yet to be fulfilled are Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles.

So, my understanding is that phrase “10 days” is a reference to the whole last week of seven years.

More observations…Blessings and Peace and Grace to all!

Also I posted pre-wrath scriptures the other day, I should have wrote that as post-tribulation scriptures.

The wrath of God is already manifest against ungodly people who suppress the Truth. Romans 1:18

We are NEVER under God’s wrath b/c of Jesus Christ, in whom our lives are hid. Colossians 3:3

The reality is believers sometimes do suffer greatly b/c of persecution, or b/c of the consequences of other people’s sin.

What about the early church? They suffered greatly under persecution and they are the bride of Christ,

As are all believers from Christ on-ward. I believe pre-Christ faithful ones of the LORD are the friends of the groom akin to John the Baptist.

You may agree with me, as I believe one’s belief on when Christ comes again for his people

Is not essential to salvation and is not meant to cause strife between believers- that’s where God’s grace is.

As you know there are other topics that believers agree to respectfully disagree on.

But to a degree, more or less, how you view the end times, does affect how you life out your faith.

I do not have all the answers, but I sure love to learn.

God knows when He’s coming, and He’s always on time! J

Yet our family is choosing to be faithful to watch, worship, and pray just as you.

Our family would rather be prepared in every way, and welcome an “earlier than expected” return of our LORD,

than not to be prepared and deal with those consequences.

If I believe I am going to get an “out” pass for the tribulation, I have not much to prepare or think about.

If I believe God is going to keep me faithful through it, I and my family had better be in training now!

Proverbs 27:17 A prudent man forseeth the evil and hideth himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.

A couple of years ago, I was convicted to go through the Scriptures without any “views” presumptions or pre-conditions or proof-texting

just reading the Scripture as is, I have come to the belief that the church is on earth until sometime towards the end of the tribulation (still studying that).

I have been using on-line resources to look up key words in Hebrew or Greek has been helpful (our English tends to be broad in meaning).

One example is in Matt. 24:31 where Jesus says the elect (Greek is “eklektos” meaning those who are chosen to obtain salvation thorough Jesus Christ) are gathered to him from all over the world after the time of great tribulation.

Just reading through Matthew alone as is- got my wheels turning! Or the parable of the wheat and tares in Matt 13 says that gathering is at the end.

First the tares are “gathered” to be burned and then the wheat is “gathered” to my barn.

One more example is in Rev. 3:10 Because you have kept my Word to persevere or “the Word of my patience” “I will keep you from the trial that is to come upon the whole world to test them who dwell in the earth.”

The Greek is “tereo ek peirasmos” meaning to guard or keep from the proving or internal temptation to sin. Reference Strong’s on-line concordance on www.blueletterbible.org.

If the Greek said “apo peirasmos” that would mean removal or out of.” To me, the Greek meanings are interesting, but you don’t have to have a Greek resource to see that our Gathering to Him is after that time of trouble as Christ plainly says in Matt. 24:29-31. He comes in power and great glory! He only comes as a thief in the night to those who are not watching. We may not know the day or hour, but certainly we will know “the season”.

“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” 1 Thes. 5:4

“…turn to Me, if you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as an unexpected thief.” –JESUS Rev. 3:3

Our LORD Jesus comes twice- First Coming as Ben Josef (Son of Joesph (Matt. 1:16)- Suffering Servant) Second Coming as Ben David (Son of David (Rev. 22:16)- Victorious King!)

Another point to share is about wrath… 1 Thes 5:9 says “we are not appointed to wrath but to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord”, amen!

Romans 1:18 says the wrath of God is already present against sinful people who suppress the Truth.

Some believe this time or dispensation is of Grace and the Tribulation is one of wrath.

But our lives and the Scripture now show there is Grace present now and also God’s wrath present now.

Likewise during the last week of “Jacob’s trouble” there will be Grace and also wrath, yet the degree to which it happens

it occurs is in greater measure. You see “a number that no one could number” being saved and you see large # of people

also rejecting the LORD Jesus.

I believe we are on the cusp of that “7 year week”. There will be great trouble, but also great revival.

We must know the Word inside and out and pray pray pray!

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? -Jesus (Luke 18:8)

“I will fill then with joy in My house of prayer and My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” –the LORD Isaiah 56:7

Our hope is in the LORD!

God continue to pour out His richest blessings upon you one and all!
