Hi Mary
Anna,
No "need of sun" and "no light of the sun" does not mean there
is no sun. For example, let's say that the headlights on
my car are the sun and the moon. In this example, my
headlights are "ordained" to be a part of my vehicle in the
same manner that the sun and the moon are ordained to move
about the universe :
Jeremiah 31:35-36 Thus says
the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The
ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The LORD of
hosts is His name): " If those
ordinances depart From before Me, says the LORD,
Then the
seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation
before Me forever."
An ordinance is a law. In other words,
these Heavenly bodies will continue to follow the law of
motion that the Lord set them in forever. If we go back to the
example of the headlights on my car, they are ordained to
always be a part of my car. Now if it there is never
night, because God's glory always shows, does that negate the
fact that my car still has headlights?
Sure, I don't need the light of the headlights any more with
the glory of God lighting the way. But if they have been
"ordained" by law to have them, that doesn't mean they cease
to exist, just because they don't give light, or because their
light is no longer needed. I don't know if this is the
best example. However, the point is, if you say the sun
will no longer exist, then you also must believe that Israel
will cease from being a nation before God, which is clearly
not the case:
1 Chronicles 17:22 For You
have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever;
and You, LORD, have become their God.
2 Chronicles 9:8 Blessed be the LORD
your God, who delighted in you, setting you on His
throne to be king for the LORD your God! Because your
God has loved Israel, to establish them forever,
therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and
righteousness.”
Maranatha!

Amy, my dear,
If God said there will be no sun in
Heaven , there will be no sun and what I
believe. Perhaps you don't!
Rev.21:23 "And the city Heaven had no need of
sun.....for the Glory of God did lighten it. and the
lamb is the light thereof.
Rev. 22:5 "And there shall be no night there;
....neither light of the sun: for the Lord giveth them
light: and they shall reign for ever and ever".
Amen
Jeremiah is in the O.T. Christ made
all things new in the N.T. It's all through
it!
Lets end this! I will write no
more .. .Amy, if it pleases you to believe there's
a sun in heaven do so, but as Christ Jesus is my
Witness, you're wrong!
