"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. But in his estate shall he honour the God of FORCES (H4581): and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Doves, 

The antichrist cannot be a devout Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, etc.  In fact, the antichrist will not honor "ANY GOD".  He shall magnify HIMSELF ABOVE ALL.  He shall ONLY honor the god of FORCES which is Strong's H4581 meaning:

 1) place or means of safety, protection, refuge, stronghold

a) place of safety, fastness, harbour, stronghold

b) refuge (of God) (fig.)

c) human protection (fig.)   

The antichrist will pay lip-service any religion that will serve his purpose, dishonoring all.

He will honor the god of safety with his office and the treasury of his people.  He is a person who will want to control every aspect of life, centralizing power over it in his office (estate).  He shall plunder, divide and redistribute the land and treasure for gain.

" The Constitution is a charter of negative liberties."  It says what the Federal government can't do to you.  It doesn't say what the Federal or State government should do on your behalf."  Barack Obama

As for me and my house, we'll serve the Lord of lords.  Jesus is my safety, my refuge and my stronghold, not big government safety nets purchased with worthless paper, debtor's notes borrowed from multiple lands, states and people's REAL earned treasures.  A government that provides everything for its people will want everything in return- resulting ultimately in the mark of the beast, required to survive in his 'safety net' god of forces.
