"Pineman re questions"

Hi John and Doves,

Haha, Pineman - Are these trick questions?? I do celebrate New Year but not as a "holy" day. More often than not, I'm just relieved to get another stressful year over and done with!! Champagne helps!  My darling partner, Gordon, will give me flowers for Valentine's and a soppy poem and card. We certainly do not worship or pray to "St. Valentine" or anything similar. We do observe Easter. I couldn't care less if it's the correct date or not - it's just wonderful to remember our LORD and Saviour's sacrifice - and that He rose from the dead. Christmas is a wonderful time to talk about Jesus and celebrate His birth. Even the most hardened of non-believers will listen to stories about Jesus around Christmas. Not being American, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

I hope I'm not going to get a big fat lecture about paganism, Pineman!! Haha. I do understand that there are many Christians who feel that we're joining in "the things of this world" etc. LORD Jesus knows my heart. He knows my soul. He knows every single hair on my head. I love, worship and adore my LORD Jesus Christ. All my celebrations belong to Him. My life, and the life of all my loved one's, belong to Him.

I await your response with a wee bit of trepidation!!
