"Rahab and the Dragon"

I am doing my daily Bible reading through Isaiah. Last night was Ch 51.
I had not remembered/ or noticed before how the name Rahab
has fascinating meanings. As a person's name, perhaps meaning pride or
special possession.
However also says
"The verb רחב (rahab) means to be or become large or wide — mostly of
territory but also of fame, abilities, courage, trouble and so on."
In the context of this passage, God's past and future destroying a
region such as Egypt, likewise the coming judgement and destruction of
Satan.
I had read that the Biblical Rahab was an ancestor of King David,
but then the commentary I sought said maybe not! Any thoughts on
that? Thing is the spelling in (KJV) Matthew is Rachab nor Rahab as in Joshua!
