John - What an interesting scripture!  I looked up the Strongs meaning of waters and it's context in this scripture.  SURPRISE! 

Thank you John for allowing me to do some ranting.  This biblical story has so much to talk about and so many little things that never get talked about or explained!  It is so much deeper than I have the capacity to grasp and try to find answers to.  I believe we are obligated to dig deeper.
