There was a related passage that I had not been able to answer or refute.

Perhaps, because you have been studying this, you could answer:

Hebrews 7:9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

  10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

This is used by some, and I was not able to answer.

The concern was that, if the sin nature is only passed down by DNA, and not also spiritually,

then technically everyone is born without sin, and not born lost,

that only when the the sin nature "triggers", only then does the person join the ranks of the lost.

But it is pointed out that Levi paying tithes in Abraham is not the same as all of us sinning in Adam.
