THE "GENTILES" IN REVELATION 11:1-2 ARE NOT WHO YOU THINK THEY ARE........

To correctly understand who "the Gentiles" are in Revelation 11:1-2 you must first read the immediately previous Scripture, Revelation 10:11, which sets the context for correctly understanding who "the Gentiles" are in Revelation 11:1-2 .

Revelation 10:11

"And he said unto me, Thou must PROPHESY AGAIN BEFORE many PEOPLES, and NATIONS,  and  TONGUES, and kings."   ( this is a group of Gentiles )

John had PROPHESIED BEFORE , in Revelation  7:9, about many PEOPLES,  and NATIONS, and TONGUES in: ( a group of Gentiles )

Revelation  7:9

"After this I beheld a GREAT MULTITUDE which no man could number of all NATIONS, and kindreds, and PEOPLES, and TONGUES, stood before the throne and before the Lamb ..." ( a group of Gentiles in heaven )

As directed,  John then  "PROPHESIED AGAIN" ,  in  Revelation 11:1-2,  about the raptured "GREAT MULTITUDE" of GENTILES in heaven that he had previously prophesied about in  Revelation  7:9  : 

Revelation 11:1-2

"......., Rise and measure the temple of God ( in heaven ) ,  and the alter, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple , leave out, and measure it not FOR IT IS GIVEN UNTO THE GENTILES ( the Great Multitude of Gentiles from  Rev 7:9 which is the raptured Gentile Body of Christ Church in heaven ), and the Holy City ( in heaven ) shall they tread underfoot FORTY-TWO MONTHS." 

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT :

All three Scriptures  (  Rev 7:9 ,  Rev 10:11 , Rev 11:1-2 )  are speaking of the very same group of GENTILES , ie. the Great Multitude of Gentiles,  which is the raptured Gentile Body of Christ Church in heaven . The raptured Church is in heaven for the very same forty-two  months that the anti-Christ "continues" with  his authority on earth AFTER receiving his power from Satan ( Rev 13;5 ) .
