"Take Us Home For Christmas"

Hi John and Doves,

As I am sure we can all agree, 2020 is a year that takes the cake in many different ways. Bible prophecy is unfolding before our eyes on a daily basis- some days on an hourly basis! Of course, there’s the ongoing COVID-19 uproar, political unrest the likes that I would venture to say most of us haven’t seen in our lifetime, signs and wonders in the sky, earthquakes in diverse places, and the list goes on and on. This doesn’t even take into account the daily and ongoing trials and tribulations in many of our personal lives.

As we all anxiously await the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I must confess, there are days that I feel extremely weary.

Every year during this time there’s a strange dichotomy of emotions that I personally experience. Of course, this is a very joyous time of the year, and yet, it has become so commercialized. We could debate the fact that this is not when Yeshua was actually born, that it coincides with pagan rituals, and many other aspects that we are all familiar with.

However, rather than debating these things, I believe worshipping our Savior is a better use of our time and energy.

When I was a wee little girl, one Christmas my Aunt Brenda called in to the local Christian radio station and dedicated my favorite Christmas song to me. I actually have the dedication to me recorded to cassette tape and stored away.

It’s not a common or well-known song, but every year I play it over and over, praying that the Lord will hear my prayerful heart as I sing out to Him.

This year, the Bethlehem star is making an appearance in the sky. My husband looked at me and said, “Maybe you’ve been right all along!”

Oh, how I PRAY THIS is the year! And what better time than when we are celebrating His birth- even in it’s not the actual time He was born!

Jesus.... 🎵 why don’t You come and take us home for Christmas 🎶
