JESUS DESCRIBES BOTH 'THE RAPTURE' AND HIS 'SECOND COMING'.......

 

Jesus describes both 'The Rapture' and His 'Second Coming' in His Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24;29-31 and Matthew 25:31-41. 

 

To distinguish the differences between the rapture ( Matthew 24:29-31), and His second coming ( Matthew 25:31-41 ) notice that Matthew 25:31-33 states , "HE WILL SIT ON HIS THRONE IN HIS GLORY. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another as a shepherd divides His sheep from the goats. And He will set His sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then THE KING WILL SAY..."

 

In His description of the events of His second coming given in Matthew 25:31-41 Jesus IS ON THE EARTH sitting on His Millennial throne as the King  in Jerusalem for the sheep and goat judgment.

 

 In His description of the events of the rapture given in Matthew 24:29-31 there is no mention of Jesus touching the earth at all , but rather , according to Matthew 24:31 "He will come on the clouds of heaven, and He send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds..."
