"What are your thoughts of "Outer Darkness""

Dear doves
I would very much like to hear your thoughts of what you think Outer Darkness is. I have begun a study on this subject. By us joining in a collective gathering of points of view, we learn and edify one another in the study of God's word.
These are what I read concerning we the church and the forms of Edify:

Edification: Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. For though I should boast some what more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

Edified: Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

Edifieth: Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Edify: Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Edifying: Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying. For perfection of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Thank you all, and I look forward to and in your thoughts in this matter.
God bless you
