"GOD’S TIMELINE AND THE LAST DAYS"

GOD’S TIMELINE AND THE LAST DAYS
By Greg May

A lot of Christians – including myself – got excited about a September 2015 Rapture because it was the last appearance of a Blood Moon on a Jewish Holiday and we were in a Shemitah Year.  (For those of you who are in to Jonathan Cohn or read John Hagee’s ‘Four Blood Moons: Something Is About To Change’ you know what I am talking about.)

But nothing happened.

So let’s look at God’s Timeline: Scripture tells us the Messiah will return AFTER the Jews have returned to their homeland.  For hundreds of years this was considered an impossibility since the Jews were scattered to the four corners of the earth.  But almost overnight – in May 1948 – Israel became a nation!

This is the single, most significant prophecy to be fulfilled pertaining to the return of Christ.

So a lot of people believe the Ingathering began in 1948.  So they take the prophecy when Jesus told His disciples, “Surely this generation will not pass away until all these things come to pass” (Matthew 24:34)  Then they get out their Bibles and try to figure out ‘How long is a generation?’  ‘Is it 40 years?  70? 80 for strength?’  And they start counting from 1948 . . .

In 1948 there were already 600,000 Jews established in Israel – this is the same number of Jews that were liberated from Egypt during Moses’ time.  The Ingathering began in 1917.  Two things happened in 1917 – Jerusalem was freed from Muslim rule and Great Britain issued the Balfour Declaration giving the Jews the right to return to their homeland.  (For the interesting story behind this read Randy West’ ‘A Piece of the Puzzle’). So in God’s eyes the Jews were officially back in the land.

In the Old Testament God decreed that once the Jews were back in the land they would have a Jubilee every fifty years.  Fifty years from 1917 was 1967.  What happened in 1967?  The Jews recaptured Jerusalem during the Six Day War signaling the end of Gentile rule thus fulfilling the prophecy ‘Jerusalem being downtrodden by the Gentiles until the day of the Gentiles is over’.  In 1967 – when the Jews recaptured Jerusalem – was the beginning of the Messianic EndTimes.

Israel’s next year of Jubilee will be in 2017.

The period of time between 1917 (the beginning of the Ingathering) and 2017 (Israel’s next Year of Jubilee) is one hundred years.

That’s how God defines a generation.

In Genesis Chapter 15 God told Abraham that four generations of his people will be strangers in their own land for 400 years – so you do the math!

Now let’s not forget the appearance of the Four Blood Moons in 2014-2015; that was the last time blood moons will have appeared on Jewish Holidays for this century.  In the first chapter of Genesis God tells us He will use the sun, moon and stars as signs to speak to His people; the ancient Jewish rabbis looked to the blood moon as an omen for the Jews and Israel and the solar eclipse was an omen of judgement for the Gentiles and the rest of the world.

That last Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-2015 contained two solar eclipses so God was telling us that He is getting ready to change the history of the world.

Our Age is just about over.   Have you considered the seating arrangement at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and His Bride?
