"153...elijah's closing moments"

Dear doves,

Today I decided to do a study of Elijah's last few days ,thanks to a post a while back by fellow dove, Carol Garza. To see if there were any clues regarding our departure, I had missed.

I will look at 2nd Kings chpts. 1&2 as a whole.

First, the number 153 jumped out at me. Three groups of 51 men. 3 x 51 equals " 153 ". Two thirds of these men are destroyed, just before Elijah is caught up.

The fact that Elijah's removal is imminent , is a well established fact. The prophets all know.

Elijah is a very unpopular figure with the powers that be.

Elijah makes it tough on Elisha. No slacking allowed. He must stay on constant alert. You snooze you looze !

Elisha is bent on his goal. He will not be diswayed, discouraged or detoured . He wiiiilll not miss out !!!

Finally. THE BIG EVENT..... Elijah is gone.

Inspite of being warned not to waste their time, the LEFT BEHIND, search for three days, for the beloved Elijah.

Now, Elisha, who, in this snapshot, represents modern Israel after the Rapture, comes into focus.

He immediately faces ridicule and torment, by Satans children. Oh Baldy...Oh Baldy !!! ( old man Jacob ).

God's wrath is kindled like never before. Two she bears. ( two Witnesses ? } come out of the woods, and shred 42 of Satan's children. Is this a picture of Rev 11 ? 42 months ? Carmel, Samaria ?
There's just so much to ponder in these two chapters.

Doves,......are we here yet ? Joechappell
