Let's take a new look at Daniel 9:27.

 

The phrase, "On the wing of abominations...." can be translated as, "And immediately following [attached to] abominations

shall be [deployed] that [weapon] which causes desolation."  This may simply mean that following an event which is abominable to various cultures shall be the immediate deployment of a weapon as a response by the offended party.

 

We live in perilous times, during which only the Holy Spirit keeps wickedness at bay.  He will continue to do so until we are taken out of the way.  The Church is the physical representation of our own faith, hope, and love.  This is so, because we take after the Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the bodily representation in full of the Godhead--that is to say, the Word of God.  [Hebrews 1:3]

 

Pack up [1 Peter 5:6-7]; look up [Luke 21:28]!  We're going home soon!
